Gustavo Antonio Pujalte was born in Aspen, Alicante (Spain) in 1944. He moved to South America in 1950 at the age of six. Pujalte studied drawing and painting with Vicente Puig, the great Catalan teacher.
Pujalte is a sensitive and poetic artist whose paintings expose eternal themes. His work has a narrative style based on a literary and nostalgic impulse with a personal and deep sense of color. He has an absolute command of drawing and his stroke shows great strength and sophistication. These characteristics, together with rich colors allow the smoothness of his work to be perfectly combined with his expressive power.
