Michelle Samerjan

Thanks to her artist mother, Michelle Samerjan grew up in a home where the passion and love of art was taught in the same breath as reading and writing. As a child, while accompanying her father on his wide-ranging travels for his textile business, Michelle began to recognize the nuances of texture and color in fabrics. Many of the mills were set against backdrops of exciting locales and international cultures which awoke in her a curiosity about the world.

From a successful career in textiles, Michelle moved into designing three dimensional spaces and environments for selected companies, blending form with function. Experiments with painting and collage evolved into a palette that combines antique embroidered Chinese fabrics, rare coins and talismans, and Buddhist manuscript pages. Michelle Samerjan's art expresses a unique vision that hints at Zen, feng shui, spiritual mantras, and Far Eastern mysticism to create imagery that soothes the senses, works in any environment, and can be the portal for the journey of an awakened soul.

Michelle's unique and diverse subject matter has attracted a notable and vast group of international collectors.
