Amphora is one of Victor's most recent paintings. Amphora refers to the type of Greek wine jug depicted in the painting. The faces of two solemn Greek men can be seen in the clouds over which splashes of wine create dancing centaurs. Rather than a tribute to the Bacchanalia, here we are reminded that wine symbolizes the blood of Christ and should be used to remember, not to forget.
