Eloquent Silence

One of the first paintings Victor did on Maui, "Eloquent Silence" captures the joyful and lighthearted feeling of a perfect Maui day. Eloquent Silence describes the sensation experienced by the parasailers, of peace, silence, and tranquility, as they float through the sky. Here the parasailers float by on parasails of hibiscus flowers, past two figures personifying the ancient energies of the land of Hawaii. The bases of the figures are composed of forms that combine the properties of both bubbles and rocks. Bubbles float up into the sky from the ocean, past the two ancient figures. The waves in the ocean, composed of fish, move continuously onward.

Eloquent Silence portrays the beauty of Maui, created from the interaction of the ancient and the ephemeral.
